Pontus Linder is educated at Åsa Folkhögskola and Dans- och Cirkushögskolan. He’s been dancing since early teenage and specializes in Breaking, Impro and Floorwork.Been working with companies such as Art of Spectra, Room to Manoeuvre, Diambra C.A.M and the own company Lin Dylin together with colleague Olov Ylinenpää. Is also a active member of Skill Bill Zoo and Lurdo Collective.Has one foot in the urban community, active battler, participant- and organizer of jams.The other foot is in teaching and performance art.
1. What is the main focus on your classes?
Main focus is body control/awareness, methods for creating and improvising, rhythm and movement quality.
2. Which qualities do you think are important for a dancer?
For me: flow, character, creativity, musicality and composition.
3. What makes your style unique?
I would say the my ability to mix dynamics and being very smooth is unique. Also that my dance can adapt to different settings like big stages, playful cyphers, battles etc.
4. What inspires you?
A lot like movies, martial arts, theater and so on. But mostly the music and other dancers in a club like setting with the live exchange, sharing and expression.
