"Dollhouse", Stockholm Concert Hall 2013

Dollhouse
"Dollhouse" premiered at the Stockholm Concert Hall in October 2013. In this performance, Fröst combined his roles as a clarinetist and conductor with choreographed movement, resulting in a fusion of music, dance, and light design. Ambra Succi was responsible for the choreography together with Birgitta Egerbladh, and their work explored themes of liberation and the invisible strings that bind us.
In an interview with Swedish national television (SVT), Martin Fröst described the performance as a release from the expectations typically associated with classical concerts. He emphasized the importance of daring to try new things in order to renew the classical music scene.
Ambra Succi and Martin Fröst also collaborated on the performance "Genesis", for which Succi created the choreography. This performance took the audience on a musical journey from ancient traditions to the modern era, blending different musical styles with dance to create a unique experience.
Through these collaborations, Ambra Succi and Martin Fröst have shown how boundary-crossing artistic expressions can enrich and revitalize the classical music world. Their work has resulted in performances where music and dance interact in innovative ways, resonating with both audiences and critics.
